As founder of Accordions for Kids/U.S.A., it is my privilege to tell you about an exciting program intended to introduce young people to a wonderful musical instrument, the accordion!
Interested boys and girls, ages 8 to 12, who are accessible to one of the independent teachers listed below will be given an opportunity to test their interest in playing the accordion. For six weeks we will lend each student particip ant a 12-Bass Accordion, DVD of the ABC Accordion Video Course for Beginners© by Dale E. Wise, M.M.E., music stand, and music course booklet. A deposit of $135.00 payable to Accordion Plus, LLC on the loaned items will be required. Teacher will charge his or her regular lesson fee. With individual and programmed instruction, your child may well enjoy a positive musical experience.
Following the trial period and an award ceremony, teacher will discuss your child’s progress and interest in continuing instruction or returning loaned items. There is no obligation, just a great opportunity.
Join us in this important endeavor to enlighten another generation about the accordion. As my teacher said, “It’s a whole band in your arms.”
P.S. Note comments made by fellow accordionists: What’s so special about the accordion? Why play the accordion?
